Before The Plastic Spoons

One day while at the local pool, Joe L. and Joe G. were talking about playing music in a band and how they could start a band. Before that summer, the two Joes did a school talent show and played "Imagine", Joe L. playing piano, and Joe G. singing. They Placed 9th and decided they needed to expand their group. So, that day while at the pool, the two Joes ran into Clark. After some quick talking and hastily picking a name, (The Rainbow Gummy Bears Riding Fluffy Pink Unicorns With Wings From Hell) the future "Plastic Spoons" left the pool to go begin practicing in Clark's basement. Ther first rehersal didn't go that well. The amplifiers were feeding back and the room we were in was just too cramped for all of them. After that day, they really never thought about practinging again, just their name, which had been changed during practice to, "The Muffin Men."
On September 18, 2010, the two Joes and a friend from school made plans to meet the next day in Joe G's basement to start a new band, with the Joes on guitar and Jainam, their friend drumming. On the morning of September 19th, Joe L. got a call from Joe G. saying Jainam couldn't make it. They decided to have a practice anyway, with Joe G. on the drums, his main instrument. While unpacking in Joe G's basement Joe L. remembered about Clark and the Muffin Men. So the Joes walked around the block, rang Clark's bell, and took him in his pajamas and his guitar to Joe's basement for a jam session.
As they were trying to decide on what song to play, Joe L. was strumming "I Should Have Known Better."Clark asked if thats what song he was playing and the boys just broke into it. Throughout this reunion, Joe G. was eating many pudding cups, all with a plastic spoon. After running through the song a few times, they decided that they needed a better name. Joe G., with the plastic spoon being held in his mouth while drumming, took it out and said, "The Plastic Spoons."
